This 45 vial sized kit adds to our library of heart and circulatory system signatures that includes: Circulatory System Sarcodes; Heart & Cardiac Conduction; Blood Pressure; Cerebral Circulation and Blood Test.

Blood types are determined by the presence or absence of certain antigens – substances that can trigger an immune response if they are foreign to the body. There are four major blood groups determined by the presence or absence of two antigens, A and B, on the surface of red blood cells. In addition to the A and B antigens, there is a protein called the Rh factor, which can be either present (+) or absent (–), creating the 8 most common blood types (A+, A-,  B+, B-,  O+, O-,  AB+, AB-).

The main components of blood are plasma, red blood cells white blood cells and platelets. The liquid component of blood is plasma making up about 55% of the blood volume.

KIT CONTENTS

Acidosis

Acidosis is a condition where blood pH drops below the normal range of 7.35 to 7.45,

Alkalosis

Alkalosis is a medical condition where the blood becomes too alkaline (or basic), characterized by a blood pH above 7.45

Anaemia, Aplastic

A condition in which bone marrow doesn’t produce enough blood cells.

Anaemia, Folate Deficiency / Folic Acid Deficiency / Megaloblastic Anemia

This is a condition where bone marrow produces abnormally large, immature red blood cells due to impaired DNA synthesis, most often caused by a deficiency in vitamin B12 or folate.

Anaemia, Iron Deficiency

Condition where there is a lack of iron to make hemoglobin

Anaemia, Pernicious

Pernicious anemia is a specific autoimmune type of megaloblastic anemia, characterized by abnormally large, immature red blood cells caused by the inability to absorb vitamin B12 due to a lack of intrinsic factor

Anaemia, Sickle Cell

An inherited disorder where red blood cells have an abnormal sickle shape.

Blood Clot

Platelets and proteins in plasma work together to stop a bleed by forming a clot over an injury. After the injury has healed, the body will naturally dissolve clot. Sometimes, however, clots form on the inside of vessels without an obvious injury or do not dissolve naturally.

Blood Plasma

Blood plasma the clear, pale yellow, protein-rich liquid component of blood, making up about 55% of the blood volume. It carries red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, as well as vital proteins, hormones, and nutrients throughout the body.

Blood type A+

Blood type A-

Blood type B+

Blood type B-

Blood type O+

Blood type O-

Blood type AB+

Blood type AB-

Coagulation

Blood clotting, or coagulation, is an important process that prevents excessive bleeding when a blood vessel is injured. Platelets and proteins in plasma work together to stop a bleed by forming a clot over an injury.

Coagulopathy

Coagulation is the normal process of blood clotting, while coagulopathy is an abnormal condition where the blood's ability to clot is impaired, leading to excessive bleeding

Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

Global Blood RNA/DNA

Hemochromatosis

The three most common metabolic liver diseases are: hereditary hemochromatosis, Alpha-I antitrypsin deficiency (AATD), and Wilson Disease. Hemochromatosis is a disorder in which the body can build up too much iron in the skin, heart, liver, pancreas, pituitary gland, and joints.

Hemoglobin

Hemoglobin is a protein containing iron that facilitates the transportation of oxygen in red blood cells.

Hemophilia

Hemophilia is a rare condition in which blood does not clot properly. Without sufficient amounts of blood clotting factors, a hemophiliac would bleed more easily than others

Kidneys

Leukemia, Acute Lymphocytic

Leukemia is a broad term for cancers of the blood cells. The type of leukemia depends on the type of blood cell that becomes cancer and whether it grows quickly or slowly.

Leukemia, Chronic Lymphocytic

Leukemia, Chronic Myeloid

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a type of cancer that starts in the blood-forming cells of the bone marrow

Leukemia, Hairy Cell

This is a rare, slow-growing cancer of mature B-lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell)

Lymph Fluid

Lymph fluid from blood plasma leaks from capillaries into tissues and is collected by the lymphatic system. Lymph fluid carries nutrients to cells and waste away from them. Lymph fluid is filtered by the lymphatic system of nodes and is eventually returned to the bloodstream.

Multiple Myeloma, Bone Marrow

Multiple myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow

Myelodysplastic Syndrome

Myelodysplastic syndromes are a group of disorders caused by blood cells that are poorly formed or don’t work properly.

Oxyhaemoglobin

Oxygen is transported in the form of oxyhaemoglobin from the lungs to body tissues.

Platelets (Thrombocytes)

Red Blood Cells (Erythrocytes)

Spleen

Thrombocytopenia Purpura Idiopathic

Characterized by a low platelet count

Thrombocytosis

Characterized by a high platelet count

Thrombosis, thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS)

Von Willebrand Disease

Bleeding disorder in which your blood doesn't clot properly
